Concordia University School Mobile Computer Lab for Students

Effective August 24, 2009

School computers are to be used for educational opportunities. Make your online time at school beneficial to your education.

All students and staff need to understand that the computer equipment is breakable and expensive to replace.

The following are for class use and for computer class time.

1.    Students will stay at their desks during any computer use time. Students are not to walk around with the computers or sit in other areas of the classroom or hallway. Your hands should be clean before you will be issued a computer.

2.    Two or three students assigned by the teacher should hand out and pick up the computers. These students are responsible for making sure the computers are plugged in the cart and that the cart is plugged into the wall when class time is over.

3.    Unless you have special permission, do not watch music videos or listen to music during computer use time. This is better done at home.

4.    When you are using the computers, if you do have free time, use the links on the computer web page. Do not link off to other games. If you do have an educational game you would like to play, ask the teacher and it may be ok. Non-educational games should be played at home.

5.    Visiting unauthorized sites may result in the loss of computer privileges and or suspension.

6.    Do not change any settings on the computer. The entire school uses these computers, so when backgrounds, taskbar settings, volume, etc. are changed it is difficult for the younger students to use the computers.
