Mission & History

The mission of Concordia University School is to provide a safe Christian school focused on educational success, leadership development and spiritual growth.

Concordia University School commenced operations in 2005 under the management of LUMIN in partnership with the South Wisconsin District of the LCMS, Concordia University Wisconsin and the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee after Nazareth Lutheran Church and School closed their doors. 

LUMIN purchased the school property from the District in 2007 and completed a major building addition and renovation in 2008, adding large, bright, air-conditioned classrooms, a full size well-equipped gym, an art room, resource rooms, expanded cafeteria and kitchen, wireless technology and LUMIN offices.

Concordia University School is accredited by NLSA (National Lutheran Schools Accreditation), WRISA (Wisconsin Religious and Independent School Accreditation) and AdvancEd, and recognized by Schools That Can Milwaukee as an emerging high performing school.
