5th and 6th grades are currently reading Prince Caspian. We are focusing on discussing and analyzing the details about the setting, plot, and characters in this text. Feel free to ask you student(s) about characters such as Aslan, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. They should have lots to say!
7th grade is nearing the end of a Christmas Carol. We have been making efforts to analyze the text and also apply it to our own lives. The students have enjoyed reading about Scrooge's adventures dealing with Christmases past, present, and future.
8th grade is currently reading Lord of the Flies. This is a complex text but the students have been doing well in analyzing the characters and complicated plot. The students have also been doing well in applying events of the text to their lives.
5th Grade reading Chronicles of Narnia.
