Teacher Information

My name is Mrs. Haas, and I am very excited to become a part of the CUS family!  I feel a direct calling from God to be a teacher and bring 11 years of teaching experience with me.  I gained my bachelor's degree from Concordia University in Chicago.  I have worked in churches and schools outside of Cleveland, Ohio and Minneapolis, MN.  Recently I was teaching Kindergarten in Sheboygan, WI.  In addition I have a masters degree in Early Childhood which was obtained through Concordia Wisconsin,  I have always been accused of setting high expectations for my students which will not change at CUS.  Yet, I will work with each student and family to make sure that each child grows and develops throughout the year.  I believe each child has the capacity to learn and will learn in my classroom.  Most importantly I want each student to be able to state the gospel message.  "God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to forgive our sins.  He did this because he loves us!  Because of that, all those that believe this will be able to live with Him in heaven!"  What a foundation for each child to grow up knowing!  What a gift I am given to share this message with children!

When I'm not busy at school, I love spending time with my family.  My husband, Dean, and I have a son named Colton who was born May 2011.  We love being outdoors, going Up North, hanging out by campfires, and watching each other play softball.  When it is colder, we enjoy just hanging out watching TV or playing with toys.  Of course, it is important for us to worship together as well.

I look forward to having a wonderful school year and all the progress that we will make together!
