Science 5th-8th

Weekly Lessons

Each week students explore both content and skills necessary for exploring real world scientific issues. Each Friday we will have a quiz covering the week's material. Instruction varies each week, but students should plan on at least one lab or hands on project each week.

Teacher Information

  Anthony Kuchem

Greetings! My name is Mr. Kuchem and I am the science guy here at CUS. I have the pleasure of working with grades 5-8 exploring the exciting phenomena that occur in the natural world around us. This year, we are working to develop critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge assumptions, creative thinking, and the ability to solve real-life problems.

I attended Saint Louis University, earning a degree in Biology, focusing on comparative animal physiology. My time at SLU came with the opportunity to work in many research settings, including both laboratory and fieldwork research. I am currently pursuing my Masters at Marquette University and will earn a degree in Educational Leadership and Policy next year.
